I have decided that seeing as it is less than 100 days to Shambhala that I am going to have a weekly feature where there are mixes available to download from artists who have previously played there. This week I will kick it off with a mix from Jamie Sho, this set was recorded live from the “Living Room” stage

If you are like me then you probably like most things that Thom Yorke does, this is no exception. His haunting vocals combined with Modeslektor’s deep and dark groves blend together into a wonderful culmination of perfection – love the vibes. No word on if there is more to come from this collaboration but here’s to hoping.

Here is the second weekly installment in the Shambhala feature that showcases talent from this amazing festival. This week is a set from Stickybuds that was recorded in the Fractal Forest last year and is a great example of the sounds that can be heard from this stage. Wow, the video to go with this track is just way too epic – You have been warned! Lots of tempo changes bring this track through dubstep and later into dnb territory. Massive tune, no wonder it has been a staple in their sets recently.

Here we go! Week number 3 in the countdown to Shambhala, this week featuring a set that was also recorded live from the Fractal Forest last year. The set took place as the sun was rising and, if I am not mistaken, it was the last set of the festival. The crowd was slightly smaller at this point (as only the few hardcore folks still dancing were there) but the entire crowd was loving it. I remember making my way to the forest after watching the sun rise at the Living Room (the beach stage) and as was usual I stumbled into a magical place. There were people walking around selling bags of local cherries, people dancing in the trees and just as things reached a pinnacle of awesome a water slide broke out in the middle of the dance floor… yes you read that correctly, a water slide. And this is just one of the many reasons why I am returning this year. Hope to see some of you there. Shambleon!
