I had the good fortune of catching mim0sa at Shambhala ’11 where he played two absolutely killer sets. This mix brings me back to his first set which at the Living Room stage, which to those who dont know, is on a beach and looks something like the video below. That image combined with the (imagined) feeling of a PK soundsytem really brings me back to a great place. Anyways, make sure to check out the mix below the vid.
track listing for the mix is in the comments
I have decided that seeing as it is less than 100 days to Shambhala that I am going to have a weekly feature where there are mixes available to download from artists who have previously played there. This week I will kick it off with a mix from Jamie Sho, this set was recorded live from the “Living Room” stage

This week is a set from Stickybuds that was recorded in the Fractal Forest last year and is a great example of the sounds that can be heard from this stage. Grab this set and enjoy it this long weekend. Keep it real! pssst – 81 days to Shambhala

The set took place as the sun was rising and, if I am not mistaken, it was the last set of the festival. The crowd was slightly smaller at this point (as only the few hardcore folks still dancing were there) but the entire crowd was loving it. I remember making my way to the forest after watching the sun rise at the Living Room (the beach stage) and as was usual I stumbled into a magical place. There were people walking around selling bags of local cherries, people dancing in the trees and just as things reached a pinnacle of awesome a water slide broke out in the middle of the dance floor… yes you read that correctly, a water slide. And this is just one of the many reasons why I am returning this year. Hope to see some of you there. Shambleon!

This mix is a great one from Goodgroove who is a member of the notorious Ghetto Funk Crew (if you don’t know these guys then you really have to check them out – tons of amazing DJ’s in this one http://ghettofunk.co.uk/crew/). This mix is also from the Fractal Forest which is a serious hub for breaks sounds at the festival. I know that this mix in particular was a favorite of my mate “El Derpo” who played it over and over on his cellphone – we were on the road and had no other way to listen ;)
Have an awesome weekend and I’ll see you on the road to Shambhala – only 67 days!
